My office will protect all your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
This means that any personal information passed to my office will be treated as confidential, although, my office may need to share some of your personal details with a government department, agency or other organisation, in order to progress an enquiry, or request for assistance, that you have made to me.
If you give my office personal information about someone else I may need to check the facts with that person. Or if you give my office information about, or ask me to take action on behalf of a friend or relative, I will need to ask that person to confirm that they are happy for me to act on their behalf.
Any personal information that you pass on to my office will normally be recorded either on paper and/or on a computer for future reference. If you wish to see any information that I hold about you, please write to me. You have the right to see information that may be held about you either on paper or on computer.
I may use any information you provide to contact you about issues which I think you may be interested in or to keep you up to date with my parliamentary work but I will not pass your information on to any other third party without your consent. You can request to have your details removed from my database at any time.
